UiO-66 (Zr)
UiO-66 (Zr) is a zirconium-based MOF constructed with terephthalic acid linkers. It is one of the most robust MOFs reported to date due to its exceptional thermal stability up to 400 °C as well as moisture stability. Its highly porous crystalline structure and tunable defect chemistry allow for diverse applications in gas storage, catalysis, and separations. The material appears as a white crystalline powder.
APPLICATIONS
- Gas Adsorption and Storage: Efficient uptake of CO₂ and CH₄ under practical conditions
- Catalysis: Active in acid/base catalysis and heterogeneous catalytic transformations
- Gas Separation: Useful in CO₂/CH₄ and CO₂/N₂ separation
